ESSLLI Area at CTU Dejvice

ESSLLI 2026 is organized by Charles University and hosted at the Czech Technical University (CTU). To accommodate the scale of the 37th Summer School, we have secured CTU’s premier lecture halls and facilities, offering attendees maximum convenience.

The majority of ESSLLI activities, including registration, courses, and workshops, will be held in Faculty of Civil Engineering building on the campus of Czech Technical University, Thákurova 2077/7, 166 29 Praha 6 (map).

Czech Technical University in Prague is one of the oldest technical universities in the world with a 316-year tradition of outstanding achievements and academic reputation. According to the QS ranking, it belongs among the top 500 universities in the world. It is the top technical university in the CEE region.

Besides the venue building there is also a local CTU Technical Canteen. The cafeteria features a lot of space and menu that changes daily and offers a great variety of meals, including fully-vegan meal options (see the website for the current menu). The canteen also offers breakfasts. Other dining options include the numerous nearby restaurants cafés.

For a relaxing time in-between lectures, you can visit many of the different parks inside the campus area or the areas nearby.

For the occasional shopping (drinks, office supplies, old records) you can visit the Czech National Library of Technology. For grocery shopping, you can visit the nearby Billa or Albert grocery stores located in the close vicinity of the Dejvická Metro station.
