DATE: Monday, August 3rd, 7pm-9pm

VENUE: Outdoor area in front of Faculty of Civil Engineering main entrance

DESCRIPTION: Official opening of ESSLLI 2026 with a catered buffet and drinks, in front of the Faculty of Civil Engineering building. Finger food (vegan & vegetarian) and drinks provided (free of charge for registered ESSLLI participants).

DATE: Friday, August 7th, 7pm

VENUE: Open campus area in front of the Czech Technical Library (NTK)

DESCRIPTION: End the first week of ESSLLI and ring in the weekend together at a casual open air dinner! Vegan and non-vegan bbq style food and soft drinks and Czech beer will be provided for all ESSLLI participants. The programme will include a short piano concert inside the NTK building and a short demonstration from the Charles University robotics department.

DESCRIPTION: Traditional football match lecturers (if they show up) vs. students. More info to come - bring your sneakers! ⚽ (Subject to availability of a field to play on)

DESCRIPTION: The official closing of ESSLLI 2026 will take place within the last Student Session on Friday, August 14th. It includes E.W. Beth Dissertation Prize ceremony and the official announcement of the host university for ESSLLI 2027.
